M2 x 2.5mm screws are the short version of the standard laptop screw, used in thin-and-light notebooks and compact desktops where the threaded boss is shallow: SSD slots, power and button boards, and small internal brackets. This collection gathers every 2.5 mm M2 screw we carry.

The difference between 2.5 mm and 3 mm is hard to see, so measure with calipers or line the old screw up against a known 3 mm one. Using a longer screw in a shallow boss can push through or crack it. Measure an old screw with calipers: the thread diameter gives the M number and the length gives the second figure. On a countersunk head the length is measured overall, head included; on a flat-bottomed head it is measured from under the head to the tip.
