  1. Thread M6 = the threaded shank is 6 mm across. Hold the old screw against a ruler or use calipers; M2, M2.5 and M3 look alike but do not swap.
  2. Length 16 mm is measured from under the head to the tip. Too long can hit parts behind the hole.
  3. Same device? Check the model in the title and the Fits list above against the label on your device.

Still unsure? Send us a photo of the screw next to a ruler and the device model.

8 replacement M6 x 16mm black wafer head Phillips screws for TCL 2023-2026 Q651G, S551G, QM6K, QM7K and A300L TVs (VESA hole rows TCL prints as M6 x 16). TCL's US quick start guides and spec tabs print M6 x 16 mm VESA screws for the models and rows below.

What these are: replacement screws for the TV's back-panel holes (the rear VESA holes), sized to the maker's spec (sizes and sources below).

Not rated for wall mounting: these are general-purpose carbon-steel wafer-head screws with no stated strength class. For wall mounting a TV, use the hardware supplied with your wall bracket or screws of the strength class your bracket/TV maker specifies.

Check Before Ordering

Check before ordering: our screw is M6 x 1.0 mm thread, 16 mm long measured under the head, with a 12 mm wide thin flat (wafer) head that is not countersunk; black, Phillips drive. Compare with the screw you removed (thread, length and head).

  • Mixed rows: on several 50-65 inch sets TCL prints M6 x 16 for one row of holes and M6 x 12 for the other, and TCL's own guide and spec tab swap top and bottom — check which row takes which length (the M6 x 12 is a separate listing). 55/65QM7K are not included: TCL's user guide says M6 x 20 there.

Why the Right Screw Matters

Thread, length and head all have to match. A screw that is too long can push into the parts behind it; one that is too short or has the wrong head will not hold. This is a flat wafer head that sits on the surface, for flat seats only (not countersunk holes).

How to Choose the Correct Screw

Selecting the correct screw is important for proper fit, strength, and long-term reliability. Before ordering, confirm the following:

Screw Size (Diameter)

Measure the outer thread diameter of the screw. Metric screws are labeled in millimeters, such as M2, M2.5, or M3.

Length

Measure from under the head to the tip of the screw unless otherwise specified by the head style.

Thread Type

Ensure the thread matches the receiving material. Most electronics and hardware applications require metric machine threads rather than self-tapping threads.

Head Type

Confirm the head style needed for proper seating, such as flat head, pan head, or button head.

Drive Type

Match the drive type (Phillips, Torx, Hex, etc.) to the tools you plan to use and the torque requirements of the application.

Material & Finish

Choose the appropriate material and finish based on strength, corrosion resistance, and environmental conditions.

If you are replacing an existing screw, we recommend removing one and comparing the diameter, length, and head type directly before ordering to ensure a proper fit.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are these screws metric or imperial?

These are metric screws. Metric screws are measured in millimeters and are commonly used in electronics, laptops, keyboards, and precision hardware.

How is screw length measured?

Screw length is measured from under the head to the tip of the screw, unless otherwise specified by the head style.

Will these screws fit laptops, keyboards, or electronics?

Yes. These screws are commonly used in laptops, mechanical keyboards, SSD mounting, cameras, and other electronic devices. Always verify size and thread type before ordering.

Can these screws be used as replacements?

Yes. These screws are ideal replacements for lost or stripped screws in compatible devices. We recommend comparing one existing screw for best fit.

What tools are required to install these screws?

Installation typically requires a matching screwdriver based on the drive type, such as Phillips, Torx, or Hex. No special tools are required.
