M2 x 3mm is the single most common laptop screw: 2 mm thread, 3 mm long. It holds M.2 NVMe and SATA SSDs, Wi-Fi cards, system-board and fan brackets, and inner frames in a wide range of notebooks. If your SSD screw is missing, check whether the slot has a standoff; the screw goes into the standoff, and a 3 mm length is usually right for a single-sided drive. Measure an old screw with calipers: the thread diameter gives the M number and the length gives the second figure. On a countersunk head the length is measured overall, head included; on a flat-bottomed head it is measured from under the head to the tip.
