Luma 5 Pro FPV freestyle frame screw size
M2 / M5 · 20 to 25 mm long
Our records put Luma 5 Pro FPV freestyle frame on M2 and M5 screws in lengths from 20 to 25 mm.
There are 2 separate fitment records for it, including aluminium stack standoffs (M2) and battery strap / frame bolt, flat Phillips head steel (M5).
Head and drive, as the sources state them: Phillips drive.
2 of the 2 records are marked confirmed, drawn from 1 source (lumaquad.co).

How to check the screw before you buy
- Frame and motor screws must not reach the motor windings; check the length against the motor's mounting depth.
- Diameter: across the threads an M2 screw measures about 2 mm with calipers (usually a hair under). This device also uses M5, so measure each screw rather than assuming they match.
- Pitch: 0.4 mm from one thread crest to the next (25 crests per centimetre). A thread pitch gauge or the pitch-gauge tool settles it in seconds.
- Length: measure from under the head to the tip for pan, button, wafer and cap heads; countersunk (flat) heads are measured overall.
- The records span 20–25 mm, which means different positions take different lengths — match each hole to its own screw.
- Driver: the source names a Phillips drive. For comparison, standard M2 heads take PH0 (Phillips) or T6 (Torx), or a 1.5 mm hex key.
- Tightening: no device-specific torque is published in these records. The site's general figure for M2 is about 25-40 N·cm into metal threads and 12-20 N·cm into plastic bosses; snug it up and stop.
Common mix-ups with M2 / M5
- Drone kits mix M2 (motors) and M2.5 (stack) in the same bag — easy to grab the wrong one.
- M2 (2.00mm, 0.4mm pitch) is NOT the same as #2-56 UNC (2.18mm) — close enough to cross-thread and strip if forced.
- Carbon bosses strip easily: 2-4 Nm torque and the right length so the bolt doesn't bottom out.
- M5x0.8 is the de facto universal bike thread — confirm 0.8mm pitch before threading into carbon or alloy bosses.

Questions about Luma 5 Pro FPV freestyle frame screws
- What size screw does Luma 5 Pro FPV freestyle frame use?
- M2 × 20–25 mm for aluminium stack standoffs; M5 for battery strap / frame bolt, flat Phillips head steel.
- How long are the screws in Luma 5 Pro FPV freestyle frame?
- The records range from 20 to 25 mm depending on the position, so match each screw to its own hole.
- What is the thread pitch of an M2 screw?
- 0.4 mm (coarse), which is the standard pitch for M2 machine screws; a 0.25 mm fine pitch exists but is uncommon. The tap drill is 1.6 mm and the normal clearance hole is 2.4 mm.
- What screwdriver do I need for Luma 5 Pro FPV freestyle frame?
- The source lists a Phillips drive. Standard M2 heads otherwise take PH0 (Phillips) or T6 (Torx), or a 1.5 mm hex key.
- Can I use an imperial screw instead of M2?
- No. Imperial look-alike: #2-56 UNC (2.18 mm) is close but not interchangeable. Use a true M2 screw so it does not cross-thread or strip the hole.
