- Telescope thumbscrews are sold in a wide non-metric legacy range too (1/4-20, 8-32, 10-32 on many Meade/Celestron mounts), so metric M3/M4 fitment applies mainly to newer/international accessory ecosystems (SkyWatcher, generic 1.25" accessories) and should not be assumed universal.
- VESA thread size is set by pattern class: M4 for 75x75/100x100, M6 or M8 for the big 200mm+ patterns. Check the plate on the back of the display.
- VESA fixes the hole pattern and max thread depth, not screw length — length depends on the panel back and any spacers.
