Gaming laptops get opened more than any other kind — repasting, fan cleaning, RAM and SSD upgrades — and every teardown risks a lost screw. This guide covers the screw sizes we stock for the major gaming brands, one section per machine.
Dedicated Model Guides (Full Size Tables)
These models have complete size-by-size guides: Acer Nitro 5 (8 sizes) · Dell G15 5535 · Dell G16 7630 · Alienware x16 R2 · Alienware m15/m17
Lenovo Legion 5
Bottom panel and hinge-area screws: M2.5 x 8mm single replacement. The Legion 5's long bottom screws are the ones that vanish during repaste jobs.
Asus ROG Zephyrus G14
Bottom panel: M2.5 x 6mm single replacement. Note the G14 uses one captive short screw that pops the corner — don't force it out.
Asus TUF Gaming A15 / F15
Bottom panel: M2.5 x 10mm single replacement — among the longest bottom screws on any gaming laptop, and nearly impossible to substitute.
Razer Blade 15
Internal mounting: M2 x 4mm single replacement. Blade bottom covers use Torx T5 — keep those separate from the internal Phillips hardware.
HP Omen
Internal and cover screws: M2 x 6mm single replacement.
MSI GF63 / Katana
Bottom panel: M2.5 x 8mm single replacement. MSI hides one screw under the factory seal sticker — it's there, we promise.
Acer Predator Helios 300
Bottom cover: M2.5 x 6mm single replacement.
