Bottom Case Screws (P/N 922-8666 compatible)
The Unibody bottom case uses a set of Phillips screws — three long, seven short on the A1278 — that are the first things lost during any repair. We stock the complete bottom case screw set (with bulk 10-set packs for shops).
Hard Drive & SSD Mounting Screws
The 2.5" drive bay uses four shoulder screws with rubber grommets on the drive sides plus Torx-head mounting posts. Doing an SSD upgrade — the single most common Unibody revival — you'll need the HDD/SSD mounting screws and possibly a replacement drive bracket if the original cracked.
Rubber Feet
Unibody feet fall off with age — and without them the aluminum bottom scratches and slides. Replacement rubber feet sets restore grip and proper ventilation clearance.

Repair Tips
Bottom case screws are two different lengths — the three long ones go along the hinge edge; forcing a long screw into a short hole dents the top case. Use a PH00 driver, and keep magnetic trays away from mechanical hard drives. Also see the Laptop Screw Size Chart and all model guides.
