- Server drive caddy screws (Dell, HP) are usually M3 in very short lengths (3-4mm) because they bite into thin sheet metal — they are NOT the 6-32 UNC screws that go into the drive's own side holes.
- TV mount screw size follows the VESA pattern, not the brand — the same maker's small and large sets need M4, M6 or M8.
- Display mounts mix systems: the screen side is metric M4/M6, but the wall side of many mounts uses imperial wood screws such as #14 x 2.5in.
